Both are good examples. I wish we had given Teague the chance to prove or disprove himself. You would think that more people would follow the Spurs blueprint.

You could also take it a step further and mention Tony Parker. He was drafted in 01 and they threw him out there knowing full well they still had championship aspirations. He avgd 9 pts, 4 asts in just under 30 mins per game his rookie season. The next year they won the championship and he avgd 15 points, 5 ast playing around 34 mins per game. Tony now has 3 rings and a Finals MVP under his belt. I'm in no way saying Jeff Teague is Tony Parker, but the point is Greg Popovich gave Tony Parker the chance to prove himself. That's all I want for Teague. And let's remember some of the things people criticize Teague for are similar to the things they criticized Tony for too.

Great point. One would certainly think the leash for a team with championship aspirations would be shorter than that of a team with second round aspirations. At some point the Hawks are going to have to move on from Bibby. They need to find out if that point needs to be next season.
