Game Thoughts
Washington looks a lot different as a team since the last time the Hawks played them. Starters Brendan Haywood and Caron Butler have since been traded to the Dallas Mavericks. The Wizards received SF Josh Howard in that deal and he subsequently tore an ACL in his knee and is out for the remainder of the season. The Wizards have not won a game in March falling to 0-4 after Tuesday’s loss to the Houston Rockets. Tonight’s game is a make up game from the earlier snow out and will be the first of three games in three nights for the Wizards.
Strategically not a lot more can be written about these Hawks. This is a game like the last two (losses to Miami and New York) that the Hawks should win. However, if they bring the same defensive effort that they took to New York tonight then who knows what could happen. I’m hoping to see the Hawks gather themselves tonight and salvage one game on the road trip. Should be interesting to see which Hawks team shows tonight.
