Hawks force Game 7, Hold off Bucks 83-69 Quick Recap

AUTHOR: | IN: Game Recap, Hawks | COMMENTS: None Yet

(Source: Yardbarker.com) Full Recap coming tomorrow. A 29-11 third quarter propelled the Atlanta Hawks into a Game 7 back in Atlanta on Sunday against the Milwaukee Bucks. Both teams struggled offensively but the Hawks did enough defensively in that third quarter and controlled the boards to finally take control of the game. The Hawks were able to keep the Bucks out of the paint and limited the amount of easy shots, instead forcing them to take long contested jump shots. In the process the Hawks limited the Bucks to only eight offensive rebounds for the game.

The Last Ride?

AUTHOR: | IN: Hawks | COMMENTS: None Yet

(Source: Yardbarker.com) After having 24 hours away from the debacle that was the fourth quarter of game five, my head is clearer. It still may not have a clue about what is going to happen or should happen in game six but I can at least come up with some thoughts that aren’t fueled with emotion. Yesterday I put up a mock draft post and was immediately called out on twitter by @DrtySouthSports asking if I was looking ahead already and if the season was over. Just for the record the mock draft post had been planned for a couple [...]

Hawks Fall at Home 91-87, Bucks take 3-2 advantage in Series

AUTHOR: | IN: Game Recap, Hawks | COMMENTS: None Yet

(Source: Yardbarker.com) I have watched Atlanta Hawks Basketball for a long time and seen a lot of tough losses. In today’s AJC, Mark Bradley reminds us of 1989 game 5 where the Hawks lost to an undermanned Bucks team. The year before that you had two excruciating losses to the Boston Celtics in games six and seven. Through all of those losses, the bad trades, and 13 win seasons, I don’t know that I have ever seen a loss as tough as last night’s.

Hawks drop Game 5 Heartbreaker to the Bucks 91-87

AUTHOR: | IN: Hawks | COMMENTS: None Yet

Game recap is coming tomorrow. I am speechless. What a painful loss. I don’t have the words to describe this one right now. The Hawks lost all composure down the stretch. Hats off to the Bucks and Scott Skiles. If this was happening to any other team out there then I would think it was a great story. Game Recap tomorrow, Game 6 Friday.

Atlanta Hawks, Milwaukee Bucks Game 5 Preview

AUTHOR: | IN: Hawks | COMMENTS: None Yet

Preview This series is down to a best of three with each home team holding serve on their respective home courts. Questions abound for both teams coming into this one. Can Milwaukee continue to play that they showed at the Bradley Center? The Hawks better believe they can and they had better come out focused and ready to compete at a higher level than they have the entire season because it is that season that hangs in the balance. Due to the Hawks road woes (1-10), Game 5 is a must win. They have to go back to Milwaukee in [...]

Jamal Crawford wins NBA Sixth Man of the Year Award

AUTHOR: | IN: Hawks, NBA Awards | COMMENTS: None Yet

(Source: Yardbarker.com) Today Jamal Crawford was overwhelmingly selected as the NBA Sixth Man of the Year. Crawford came to the Hawks in a trade with the Golden State Warriors for Speedy Claxton and Acie Law. The trade proved to be one of the best moves of the NBA’s offseason. To Jamal’s credit he came to a playoff team having one of the longest playoff droughts for an active player. He didn’t come in expecting to start but instead accepted his role as sixth man and finished the season as the top sixth man in the NBA. For the Season Jamal [...]

Hawks fall to the Bucks 111-104, Series now tied 2-2

AUTHOR: | IN: Hawks | COMMENTS: None Yet

(Source:Yardbarker.com) We now have a series. What momentum was built during games one and two is long gone and the Hawks are searching for answers. No mistake about it, the Bucks have made adjustments. Those adjustments have been huge and now have the Bucks looking like the three seed poised to close this series out. I admit it, I looked at the game three blow out as an aberration. A result of an over confident team going on the road and not giving good effort. Lost in that was the credit that was due to the Bucks and Scott Skiles.
