Bucks vs. Hawks Season Series:
The Hawks will face the Milwaukee Bucks for the final time this season, the second time in Philips Arena. This game is the game that was postponed in January because of snow. The Bucks have won two of the three games they’ve played so far against the Hawks. The Hawks only win in the season series came in Milwaukee. The Bucks won the last meeting they had in Philips Arena.
Cool Facts :
- Kirk Hinrich and Drew Gooden (not playing) were college teammates in Kansas and were also teammates when they played in Chicago for the Bulls.
- Zaza Pachulia played 74 games for the Milwaukee Bucks in the 2004-2005 season.
The Bucks are coming off the worst game of their franchise, scoring a franchise low 56 points. Is that good or bad for the Hawks? That’s up in the air. One could look at it that Milwaukee will come into the game motivated and more energy and one could look at it as Milwaukee is struggling and have no momentum coming into the game. I personally side with the one who thinks Milwaukee has no momentum coming into this game.
One matchup I will be looking forward to is Jennings vs. Teague. Everytime they were matched up on the floor, Jennings seemed to dominate. With Teague being a bit more seasoned and having the best game of his NBA career on Saturday, I expect the matchup a bit closer than what it has been in the past. Another one of course is the Salmons vs. Johnson/Crawford. Joe Johnson has been struggling but Joe has had some pretty solid games against Salmons. Will Joe finally get it going? Of course, I have to give the Bogut and Horford matchup a shoutout. Bogut and Horford are considered two of best young big men in the league. People always debate who is better than who. This game features a lot of great player to player matchups, it will be an exciting one for sure, just as long as the Hawks don’t get blown out.
Prediction: With Horford back, Teague coming off the best game of his NBA career, Hawks coming off a win, and the Bucks coming off their worst loss of the season, I expect a win. By a pretty good margin at that.
