 From Hawks.com Press Release:

ATLANTA, GA —– The Atlanta Hawks today signed center Erick Dampier for the remainder of the season, according to Executive Vice President/General Manager Rick Sund.

The 15-year veteran has appeared in six games for the Hawks this season, after signing consecutive 10-day contracts on February 9 and February 19, averaging 1.8 rpg, 0.3 apg, 0.2 spg and 0.2 bpg in 5.0 mpg.

Ehhh, what you going to do? Hawks needed an extra big man with both Jason Collins and Al Horford out with injuries, so Dampier is needed.

He isn’t going to take you the Eastern Conference Finals, but at least he’ll make Jason Collins and Zaza Pachulia look good in practice.
