NBA Draft 2012: ESPN Mock Update - Atlanta Hawks take Andrew Nicholson in First Round


The Atlanta Hawks are projected to select Andrew Nicholson with the No. 23 overall pick in the 2012 NBA Draft according to ESPN Insider Chad Ford’s updated mock.

Analysis: Nicholson’s ability to score inside and outside combined with his defensive abilities should be a nice fit in Atlanta — especially with Josh Smith now on the trading block.

Trade Scenarios: The Hawks are shopping Smith around the league, trying to move up in the lottery. They also have some interest in Pau Gasol, according to sources. The Rockets have also shown interest in Smith.
