President of Basketball Operations/General Manager Danny Ferry announced the acquisition of veteran sharp-shooter Kyle Korver on Monday, according to the Hawks official press release.
In exchange for Korver, who was shipped over from Chicago, the Bulls received cash considerations.
“I appreciate the toughness and the competitive energy Kyle brings to the game every night, and we’re very excited to add him to our team.” said Ferry. “Adding him makes shooting an even greater strength for our club.”
Korver averaged 8.2 points, 2.1 rebounds, and 1.6 assists per games the past two seasons with Chicago. During his stint in the Windy City, the 31-year old veteran shot 42.5 percent from behind the arc and 43.3 percent from the field overall.
In his nine-year career with Philadelphia, Utah and the Bulls, Korver has averaged 9.5 ppg, 2.8 rpg and 1.6 apg in 24.2 minutes per game while shooting at least 40% from behind the arc in all but three seasons.
