According to a Danny Green tweet, the Atlanta Hawks have signed former San Antonio Spurs swingman James Anderson.
While the team has not officially released any confirmation, it shouldn’t come as a surprise as Atlanta was in the market for a small forward. The Hawks, assuming the Anderson rumors are true and things are sorted out with Ivan Johnson, have now filled 13 of their 15 available roster spots.
Anderson averaged 3.7 points per game in just 11 minutes of action a night. He is seen as an explosive wing who, if given more playing time and opportunity, could find a niche in the NBA as a solid scorer and defender.
He might just get that shot in Atlanta.
