Atlanta Hawks: Johan Petro ranks 397 on ESPN's NBA Player Rankings

ESPN is counting down the best players in the NBA from 500-1. Atlanta Hawks offseason acquisition Johan Petro ranks 397 on the list.

Petro’s 2012 rank fell 24 spots from last year’s 373 mark.

The 26-year old from France was drafted in the first round of the 2005 NBA draft by the Seatlle Supersonics (Thunder before they renamed and moved to Oklahoma City). He’s jumped around to a few different teams in his eight year career, most recently playing for the New Jersey Nets from 2010-2012. Between his three years in Seattle and two years in New Jersey, Petro served one-year stints with the Denver Nuggets, Oklahoma City Thunder, then back with Denver for a year before signing with the Nets.

The Hawks became the fifth franchise to obtain the services of the 7-ft center when Atlanta traded superstar Joe Johnson to the Nets in exchange for Petro, four other players, and a draft pick.
