The Atlanta Hawks have officially signed rookie forward Mike Scott to a contract, according to General Manager Danny Ferry and Hawks.com. Per team policy, the terms of the contract were not released.
Scott averaged 18.0 points and 8.3 rebounds per game for the Virginia Cavaliers last season while attaining first team All-ACC honors, a 3rd Team All American selection (Sporting News), and an AP All American honorable mention. Scott, who is the third leading rebounder in UVA history, also led the Cavaliers to the NCAA tournament where they lost in the first round to the Florida Gators, who went on to the “Elite Eight.”
