The Hawks broadcast booth just got a little bit more swagger.
Clifford Joseph Harris, Jr. will help call the the broadcast of the game between the Atlanta Hawks and the Miami Heat tonight. T.I., the Atlanta-based rapper, is an Urban Legend around these parts, with ties to Riverdale and Bankhead.
This seems to be a collective effort from the organization to bring more elements of Atlanta together to help marketing. I’m Serious, how else is there to explain the new line of advertising and Paper Trail of contracts of basketball players on this club with Georgia roots?
He’s been known to describe his work as “Trap Musik[sic]” as he struggles to establish his identity. His announcing may prove to be a fight of T.I. vs. T.I.P, the former a more outwardly fame-obsessed persona, and the latter a family man and inner thinker. He has recently been in a bit of Trouble, Man, with the law, being arrested on a federal weapons charge and a drug charge in recent years.
The Hawks look to have No Mercy when they face off against the Miami Heat tonight in Philips Arena. Hopefully the hometown team can be the King of the season series against the reigning champions.
