The Atlanta Hawks beat the Orlando Magic yesterday 81-72 because of good team defense and scoring by committee. Al Horford led the way for the Hawks with a team-high 15 points, while teammate Lou Williams chipped in with 14 points.
Statistics affectionado Elias Sports Bureau points out that Horford’s scoring output Monday was the lowest total of points scored by any Atlanta player that led their team to victory.
Al Horford led the Hawks with 15 points in their 81-72 home win over the Magic. The last time no Atlanta player scored more than 15 points in a win was on March 21, 2000, when Jim Jackson and Alan Henderson led the way with 15 apiece in an 82-77 win over Miami.
