The game between the Atlanta Hawks and Denver Nuggets on Wednesday, December 5, will now be televised nationally on ESPN at 8:00 PM (ET). The match-up was originally scheduled for a regional television broadcast at 7:30 PM (ET).
ESPN intended to air the Chicago Bulls vs Cleveland Cavalier game, which would have featured former league MVP Derrick Rose vs last seaons Rookie of the Year Kyrie Irving, however, with both players out due to injury, the network decided to replace that game with a more intriguing match-up between two young up-and-coming teams in the Hawks vs Nuggets.
The Hawks (9-5) rank second in the Eastern Conference’s Southeast Division behind regining NBA Champs Miami Heat, while the Nuggets (8-9) sit in third place in the Western Conference’s Northwest Division.
Denver will host Toronto on Monday night before Wednesday’s game in Atlanta.
