The Nuggets visit Philips Arena for the only time this year in the first-of-two contests with the Hawks. Atlanta travels to Denver on 3/4 to end the season series. The Nuggets have a four-game win streak against the Hawks and took the last meeting at Philips Arena on 3/16/11 (102-87). Atlanta’s last win in the series was a 125-100 home triumph on 11/7/09. The Hawks lead the all-time series 40-35, including a 29-7 home record.

Common Threads

Johan Petro played parts of two seasons with Denver (2008-09 and 2009-10). Al Horford and Corey Brewer played together at University of Florida. Nick Van Exel played for the Nuggets from 1998-2002. Lou Williams (2005-12) and Kyle Korver (2004-08) were both teammates of Andre Iguodala in Philadelphia. Williams (2006-09), Korver (parts of 2006-07 and 2007-08) and Iguodala also all played with Andre Miller with 76ers, while Anthony Tolliver joined Miller in Portland for part of 2009-10. Anthony Tolliver (Minnesota 2010-11) and Korver (Utah 2008-10) have both been teammates with Kosta Koufos. DeShawn Stevenson and JaVale McGee played together with Washington in 2008-09 and part of 2009-10.
