Hawks vs Magic: Elias Sports Bureau Weighs In

All-star center Al Horford and the Atlanta Hawks had a couple of noteworthy performances in Wednesday’s 86-80 win over the Orlando Magic. Elias Sports Bureau explains:

Horford 13/13 On 12/12

Al Horfod scored 13 points and grabbed 13 rebounds in the Hawks’ win over the Magic. It was the seventh straight double/double for Horford, one shy of the longest such streak of his NBA career. Horford had eight straight double/doubles in March 2010.

The Hawks Cast Defensive Spell On The Magic

The Hawks beat the Magic, 86-80, Wednesday night. It was the eighth straight game in which the Hawks held the Magic to under 90 points. It’s the second time in the shot clock era that the Hawks held a particular opponent under 90 in eight straight games. The Hawks held Cleveland to under 90 points in 13 consecutive games from 1994 to 1997.

Horford and the Hawks look to build on the win and go for 3-straight overall as Atlanta hosts divisional foe Charlotte Bobcats tonight at 7:30 PM (ET).
