Hawks vs Pacers: Josh Smith, Others Out

After coming down with a hip flexor injury late last night in the game against the Cleveland Cavaliers, Josh Smith has been ruled out tonight against the Indiana Pacers. This is the first game he has missed since Game 3 in the opening round series with the Boston Celtics last season and the first regular season absence since April of 2011 against the Washington Wizards. As a result, Zaza Pachulia will move into the starting lineup.

Also of note, Devin Harris remains out with a sore foot and Anthony Morrow will not play with a sore hip. Ivan Johnson, who was listed as probable, will play as will DeShawn Stevenson after missing last night as part of a back-to-back. The Hawks will only suit 11 players for tonight, so chances are good all 11 will see time, which includes Anthony Tolliver and rookies John Jenkins and Mike Scott, who all appeared in last night’s game.
