General Manager Danny Ferry Fined $15,000

The NBA has fined Atlanta Hawks General Manager Danny Ferry $15,000 for “inappropriate action” with officials after the Atlanta Hawks and Boston Celtics game Saturday night. Atlanta Hawks beat writer for the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Chris Vivlamore speculated the following in a tweet:

This is the first season in Atlanta for Danny Ferry. After his playing days in the NBA, he worked in the front office of the San Antonio Spurs before becoming the General Manager for the Cleveland Cavaliers in 2005. In 2010, Ferry resigned from the position to return to the Spurs front office. In the 2011 offseason, Ferry was brought in to replace former GM Rick Sund and is signed to a six year contract in the same position as well as acting as President of Basketball Operations.
