Top 10 Best Dunks in Dunk Contest History

Here we are at All-Star break where the players can rest from the tough and grueling season. However, during this break, us fans only care about one thing: DUNKS!

In anticipation of the most exciting event during All-Star Weekend, I bring you the top 10 dunks in recent years. (Disclaimer: You will not see any of the ‘Nique dunks — there should be a separate Top 10 for him, or the Jordan dunks since I was not around at the time to watch any of them.)

10.) Let me start off with Serge Ibaka and his free-throw line dunk. This was great to me because he actually jumped from behind the line where in many similar dunk attempts you will see a persons foot on the line (Jordan).

9) Next we have Josh Smith doing the throwback dunk, wearing the Dominique Wilkins jersey. I think this was the first dunk that started the trend of using props and jerseys during the contest.

8) Josh Smith again! To me, this is the most underrated dunk in my history of watching the dunk contest. Josh did a TWO-HANDED TOMAHAWK from the FREE-THROW LINE! .. Can you believe he was only given a score of 41?! So yeah, incredibly underrated.

7) This dunk was amazing to me because we have never seen this before. As they say in the video, its like playing a video game.

6) Iggy is the biggest snub in dunk history in my opinion. He jumped so high that he had to duck his head beneath the backboard!

5)  It must be intimidating to those that have to go up against Dwight, seeing that he can get off the floor to dunk on a 12-foot hoop. It makes you think how high of a floater do you have to throw in order to avoid getting the ball blocked.

4) I will show another dunk by Iggy that I thought was great. He caught the ball in mid-air, went behind-the-back and finished. This man should have won that year! .. But let me stop before I go on a rant.

3) Have you seen this before? Vince Carter brings us the Honey Dip dunk! Simply stated, it was just a spectacular dunk in one of the most spectacular dunk contests of all-time.

2) Getting down to the final part of the list was incredibly hard for me. I will put Jason Richardson’s 360 between the legs at #2 because I haven’t seen anything that good in a very long time.

1) Well this was just amazing! At the time no one had seen anything like this. Vinsanity does a reverse 360 windmill and finishes with thunderous power. Arguably, one of the greatest dunks of all-time.
