It always great to be the first in something, just as long as that something isn’t something negative.

Unfortunately for the Atlanta Hawks, they achieved franchise infamy for becoming the first team in franchise history to lose a game in regulation despite eight players dropping double-figures.

For a more in-depth breakdown of Monday’s letdown, Elias Sports Bureau explains…

Balanced Scoring Not Enough For Hawks

From Elias: Eight Hawks players scored at least 10 points in Atlanta’s 127-113 home loss to Dallas. Only one other team in the last 20 seasons has lost a non-overtime home game despite having eight players score double-digit points. That was the Suns, against the Kings on November 6, 2005. And it was the first regulation home loss in the Hawks’ franchise history (67 seasons) in which at least eight players reached 10+ points.
