VIDEO: Roy Hibbert Posterizes Ivan Johnson

Paul George and the Indiana Pacers pounded the Atlanta Hawks by 15 points Wednesday to take a 2-0 series lead in the first round of the Eastern Conference playoffs, but it was Roy Hibbert (along with Gerald Green) who was receiving most of the post-game chatter with his crowd-roaring slam on Ivan Johnson.

Hibbert’s dunk came in the first quarter of the game with 1:44 left. He set a high screen on Devin Harris for teammate George Hill, both Harris and Johan Petro (who was guarding Hibbert) tried to stay with Hill on the perimeter, but he beat the double-team with a nice bounce pass that split the defenders to find the cutting Hibbert, who then slammed it on the helping Ivan Johnson for the monster dunk.

Johnson tried to step in and draw a charge on Hibbert after Petro was caught in no-man’s land, but Hibbert used his 7’2 frame to extended over Johnson (Space Jam style) and posterized him for the and-1 dunk.
