NBA Draft 2013: Boston Celtics Select Lucas Nogueira With #16 Pick, Trade to Hawks via Mavericks

The NBA Draft started off with an absolute shocker as UNLV power forward Anthony Bennett was selected #1 overall by the Cleveland Cavaliers.

This pick was not as shocking, although it is confusing.

With the #16 overall selection, the Boston Celtics drafted 7-foot Brazilian center Lucas Nogueira.

However, as we previously reported, Boston will trade Nogueira, along with a pair of 2014 second-round picks, to Dallas in exchange for Kelly Olynyk (#13 pick).

The Mavericks are then rumored to be flipping Nogueira, along with guard Jared Cunningham and the #44 pick, to the Atlanta Hawks for the #18 pick.

Hope you understood all of that.

We will be covering each pick of the NBA Draft all night long.
