NBA Draft 2013: Phoenix Suns Select Nemanja Nedovic With #30 Pick, Trade To Golden State Warriors

nedovic

The NBA Draft started off with an absolute shocker as UNLV power forward Anthony Bennett was selected #1 overall by the Cleveland Cavaliers.

This pick was not as shocking, although it is a bit confusing.

With the #30 overall selection, and the final pick of the first-round, the Phoenix Suns drafted Lithuanian point guard Nemanja Nedovic.

As we previously reported, Minnesota originally drafted Andre Roberson, but then traded him and Malcolm Lee to the Golden State Warriors in exchange for a 2014 second-round pick and cash. Then, Golden State immediately flipped Roberson to the Oklahoma City Thunder in exchange for the 29th pick (Archie Goodwin) and cash.

After all of that, the Warriors flipped Goodwin, along with Malcolm Lee, to the Phoenix Suns in exchange for the #30 pick, which turned out to be Nedovic.

Hope your understood all of that.

That does it for the first-round of the 2013 NBA Draft!

We won’t be covering round 2 pick-by-pick like round 1, but we will post a complete draft recap will all 60 selections from both rounds.
