The J-Smoove era is over.

Josh Smith has left Atlanta and agreed to a deal with the Detroit Pistons for an estimated $56 million over four years, according to Yahoo!’s Adrian Wojnarowski.

After signing Paul Millsap to a 2 year deal last night, it seemed as if Smith would surely leave Atlanta. We now know that Atlanta never wanted Smoove to return:

The move clears $16 million in cap room for the Hawks to sign other pieces.

We will release more information in separate stories.

Long. Live. J-Smoove.
