The Atlanta Hawks came up short against Sacramento 93-87 in their final summer league game Friday evening.
The Kings had an 0-4 record entering the Las Vegas Summer League Tournament consolation game with Atlanta, and were able to get their first win behind first-round draft pick Ben McClemore’s big game.
McLemore scored 27 points and grabbed nine rebounds (both team-highs) for Sacramento.
The game was close throughout and featured 12 ties and 14 lead changes however it was the Kings who came out on top.
Mike Scott continued his impressive summer league play and led the Hawks with 25 points and 10 rebounds. Fellow second-year player John Jenkins dropped 19 points on 6-of-16 shooting, while rookie sensation Dennis Schroder chipped in with 15 points.
The game marked the final game for both teams. Both squads finished with a record of 1-4.
