Greg Oden has decided to take his talents to South Beach!
ESPN basketball insider Jeff Goodman was the first to break the news and noted it’s a two-year deal with a player option in the second year:

The prized free-agent center was set to choose between six teams: Atlanta Hawks, Dallas Mavericks, Miami Heat, New Orleans Pelicans, Sacramento Kings and San Antonio Spurs.
I wrote yesterday that Miami should be the clear favorite to land Oden, giving that they have the best chance at winning and the fact that they actually have a need at the center position. And oh yeah, they also got LeBron friggin’ James! I’m not going to pat my self on the back for this correct prediction though — it was the obvious choice.
Miami was able to offer more money than the other five teams interested as they had their mini mid-level exception worth about $3.18 million available.
Details of the deal were not disclosed, however, ESPN’s Marc Stein’s sources say it’s a two-year minimum deal.
