The Atlanta Hawks have endured one of the most interesting offseasons in franchise history. The front office has brought in five new players through free agency, as well as four new players from the draft. While the Hawks wish Mike Muscala and Lucas Nogueira well as they prepare to play in Spain next season, very little else has surfaced from the organization in recent weeks.
It hasn’t taken long to realize that Danny Ferry and the front office are comfortable with the roster set at 14 players, which is the current number of players on the team including the non-guaranteed contracts of Shelvin Mack and Mike Scott. Although, the Hawks still could be looking at some remaining unsigned players to fill out their roster as the 15th man.
The largest question mark with the current state of the roster is the wing position, where only Kyle Korver and DeMarre Carroll reside. They should be a good dual-threat and even out each others style of play rather nicely, but maybe a 3rd small forward is the way to go. Or maybe another low post presence or combo guard could fit as well.
Let’s take a look at a few of the players left that could be on the Hawks’ radar…
