John Jenkins to make preseason debut versus Pacers

Atlanta Hawks second-year sharpshooter John Jenkins will make his preseason debut tonight at home against the Indiana Pacers, reports Chris Vivlamore of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

Jenkins had missed the first five exhibition games due to nagging lower back spasms, but returned to practice last week and will give it a go tonight against Indiana.

“John will be available and hopefully we’ll give him a little bit of time tonight,” Budenholzer said. “There are two opportunities, tonight and tomorrow, to get him out on the court, watch him play and get him more comfortable.”

It’s a much-needed lift for the Hawks to have Jenkins returning, especially with the recent news that power forward Paul Millsap with miss the final two exhibition games due to a sore Achilles.
