Knicks vs Hawks: J.R. Smith to Make First Start of Season Replacing Prigioni in Lineup

J.R. Smith will make his first start of the season Wednesday night as he will replace Pablo Prigioni in the starting lineup at shooting guard when the Knicks square off with the Hawks in Atlanta.

Smith will start alongside Iman Shumpert, Carmelo Anthony and Andrea Bargnani with Raymond Felton running the point.

Knicks head coach Mike Woodson was mulling a lineup change heading into the Hawks game after getting blown out by 31 points at home to the San Antonio Spurs on Sunday.

New York, who is currently in last place of the Atlantic division with a 2-4 record, are 2-1 when starting a Felton-Prigioni backcourt duo but decided to go with a bigger/scoring lineup to counter against a more physical Hawks team.
