Atlanta Hawks combo guard Lou Williams achieved a career milestone against the Oklahoma City Thunder on Monday night.
With a layup in the first quarter, Williams surpassed 6,000 career points. He came into the game needing just two points to reach the milestone.
Lou knocked down a technical free-throw at the 3:47 mark in the opening period, leaving him one point shy of the mark, then made a layup on the following possession to give him 6,001 career points.
Williams finished the night with 10 points, three assists, two rebounds and one steal in 23 minutes of action off the bench.
The Hawks will be back in action Wednesday night at home as they host Atlanta native Josh Smith and his new Detroit Pistons team.
