For those who were excited to see Josh Smith’s second return to Atlanta, I have bad news. Due to the horrid winter storm that has hit Atlanta, the NBA has canceled the game, and will reschedule it for a different night:

Our friend Chris Vivlamore of the AJC told us earlier that the Pistons were unable to leave Detroit for Atlanta on Tuesday night, and the NBA has now rightfully postponed the game.

The key here is that everyone in Atlanta stays safe. After the storm started to hit on Tuesday, hundreds of citizens were stranded on the interstate, kids were forced to sleep in school, and all of Atlanta is dealing with difficult situations. Our thoughts and prayers are with everyone that has been touched by this tragedy, and let’s hope things get fixed quickly.

I was going to travel to the game to cover it, but there are around 20 cars crashed in the neighborhood I reside in, so I can only imagine what it’s like in the city right now.

The Hawks will be back in action on Friday night against the Sixers.
