Video: Lance Stephenson Nearly Breaks Neck on Fast Break, Still Manages to Hit Circus Shot

A fire has been burning inside of Indiana Pacers guard Lance Stephenson.

The fuel to that fire was ignited when he was snubbed by NBA coaches and not selected as a reserve for the upcoming All-Star game.

“I already had a chip on my shoulder and it made me even worse,” Stephenson said about not making the Eastern Conference reserves. “Now I’m going to kill everybody who is in front of me.”

A few days ago, Stephenson took his anger out on an innocent referee.

That aggression has stayed with the Brooklyn native, and last night in Atlanta he nearly killed himself after going aggressively to the hoop on a one-man fast break and landing awkwardly on his neck.

Luckily, Stephenson wasn’t hurt too bad. Most importantly, he made the shot.
