Atlanta’s losing streak may have extended last night, but Hawks fans have a different streak on their minds — one they can be proud of.
Kyle Korver extended his consecutive games streak with a made three-pointer to 123 straight on Friday night.
Kyle’s 3 came early in this matchup, as he put the Hawks on the scoreboard at the 9:46 mark in the first quarter. The three-pointer was one of only two for Kyle as he went on to finish with 11 points on 4-of-10 shooting, 2-of-6 from the perimeter. He also seven rebounds, four assists and three steals.
Korver reached another landmark during the game as his two 3′s put him into 22nd all-time in three-pointers made, passing Michael Finley with now a total of 1455 triples. He’s now chasing current Memphis Grizzlies’ forward Mike Miller, who sits at 21st with 1,489.
The sharpshooting Korver ranks 6th in the NBA in made 3-pointers and currently sits in 2nd in 3-point percentage at 47%.
Kyle will continue to remain an important piece of the Hawks’ offense down the stretch as the team continues to weather through several injuries. He’ll get a chance to continue his streak tonight against the New York Knicks.
