Paul Millsap out against the Trail Blazers on Wednesday

The Atlanta Hawks are getting some national attention on Wednesday night when they take on the Trail Blazers in Portland. The game will be televised on ESPN, but it appears that they will be without their lone all-star.

According Chris Vivlamore of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Paul Millsap will miss his fifth straight game and sit out Wednesday. He has missed the last four games with a right knee contusion, and he will not be able to go in this one, either. Mike Scott will take his spot in the starting lineup again, joining Jeff Teague, Kyle Korver, DeMarre Carroll, and Elton Brand. Scott has stepped up his play of late, but there is no doubt that Atlanta misses what Millsap brings to the table.

Mike Budenholzer has said Millsap is getting closer to returning, and he participated in 3-on-3 during the Hawks’ two off days, per Vivlamore. Pero Antic is available against the Blazers, but don’t expect him to play under normal circumstances. This season has taken a turn for the worse with all these injuries, and hopefully these guys can come back soon.

The Hawks take on the Blazers at 10:30 PM ET on ESPN.
