DeMarre Carroll Gets Four Stitches Above Eye in Hawks’ OT Win Against Raptors


 

Atlanta’s first-year small forward DeMarre Carroll got hit with an elbow during the Hawks’ 118-113 overtime victory against the Toronto Raptors on Tuesday and had to get four stitches to close a laceration above his right eye.

Carroll’s injury occurred in the first quarter, but he only missed a few minutes and returned in the second quarter after going to the locker room to receive medical treatment. He finished the game with a bandage over the wound and totaled eight points and four rebounds in 38 minutes of action.

In other Hawks-related injury news, rookie point guard Dennis Schroder suffered a sprained left ankle during the fourth quarter of Tuesday’s win and did not return. There is no update on the severity of the injury.
