Finally, some good news!
Atlanta Hawks starting small forward DeMarre Carroll is “expected to play” tonight against the Philadelphia 76ers after he missed the previous game due to a stomach illness.
Carroll came down with an illness Friday and had to be hospitalized for IV fluids, reports Hawks beat writer Chris Vivlamore of the AJC.
“I’ve got to play tonight,” Carroll said. “My team needs me. I’m going to do what I’ve got to do.”
“We are hopeful both of them can warmup and feel good,” Hawks coach Mike Budenholzer said. “I think DeMarre is pretty close and it’s pretty good to say he is going to play
Thankfully, the first-year Hawk was apparently feeling better this morning and was “taking part in morning shootaround,”
It’s basically a definite that Carroll will be good to go, but check back soon for updates just to make sure.
