Kyle Korver officially finished the 2013-2014 season with the best 3-point shooting percentage in the NBA with a 47.2% clip from beyond the arc.
Korver is the first player in Hawks history to lead the league in 3-point percentage.
It was a record-setting season for Korver, one that saw him break the all-time record for consecutive games with a 3-pointer made. The streak, which dated back to the 2012-2013 season, lasted 127 games and ended on March 6.
Korver finished 5th in the league in 3-pointers made per game with 2.6, but because he only played 71 games, finished outside of the top 10 in overall three pointers made. Stephen Curry led the league in both categories.
In such a remarkable campaign, it’s worth noting that Korver did not even break his all-time 3-point shooting mark, which he set back in 2009-2010 while playing for the Utah Jazz. He shot an astounding 53.6% from 3-point territory that season, a mark that still stands as the all-time leading percentage in the NBA.
The Hawks will need Korver to continue his elite 3-point shooting in the playoffs as they try and upset the top-seeded Indiana Pacers in the first-round.
