The Hawks protected home court in Game 3 on Thursday, winning in Atlanta against the top-seeded Indiana Pacers 98-85 to take a 2-1 lead in the best-of-seven series.
Jeff Teague was the star of the game and also had the best play of the game, as he made an amazing one-handed off-balance 3-pointer as the shot clock was expiring with just under three minutes left in the fourth quarter to put the Hawks up by nine points, and ultimately served as the cushion the team needed to get the win.
Check it out for yourself:
“I gave it the Jordan shrug because I thought it was going to be an air ball.” Teague said. “It didn’t feel good coming off my hand, but once it went in I was pretty confident it was our night.”
Teague finished with a double-double performance of 22 points and 10 assists.
“It was a lucky shot, but, we created our own luck by being aggressive and never giving up on ourselves.” Teague said. “We aren’t playing like we have nothing to lose; we’re playing to win and we want this series.”
The Hawks will be at home again for Game 4 on Saturday and could go up 3-1 in the series over the Pacers with a win. Tip-off set for 2 PM ET.
