The Hawks lost a heart-breaker in Game 4 as the Indiana Pacers squeaked out a 91-88 comeback victory Saturday afternoon in Atlanta, leveling the series at 2-2.
Just like in Games 1, 2 & 3, the team that won the third quarter went on to win the game — today in Game 4 it was the Pacers.
Indiana outscored Atlanta 24-17 in the third and rode that momentum to a narrow three-point win, tying the best-of-seven series at two games apiece.
Paul George led the way for the Pacers with 24 points, 10 rebounds and five assists. David West added 18 points and George Hill chipped in with 15. Evan Turner scored 11 off the bench.
The Hawks had good production from their Big 3 of Paul Millsap, Jeff Teague and Kyle Korver, but hardly got any help from fellow starters DeMarre Carroll and Pero Antic on the offensive end.
Millsap had a monster game with 29 points while Korver added 15 and Teague chipped in with 14. However, Antic and Carroll combined for only five points on 1-of-6 shooting apiece.
