Atlanta Hawks backup forward Mike Scott and Indiana Pacers starting point guard George Hill had a little scuffle just before halftime of Game 6 in Atlanta on Thursday.
The two players got tangled up fighting for position down low for a rebound and wound up out of bounds then suddenly were in each other faces and had to be separated.
Apparently Hill took exception to the little jostle by Scott to free himself and went to confront Atlanta’s 6’8″ backup forward. But Scott wasn’t about to let a 6’2″ guard come up in his face like that so he gave Hill a two-handed shove to the face to back him away before he got rescued by his head coach Frank Vogel.
Scott was involved in another memorable moment from Game 6 when he threw down a thunderous one-handed slam on Pacers big man Ian Mahinmi in the third quarter, sending the fans at Philips Arena into a frenzy.
The dunk was so nice it was the #1 highlight on SportsCenter’s Top 10 on Thursday night.
Unfortunately, Scott and the Hawks lost Game 6 at home 95-88 and will be forced to play a Game 7 at Indiana on Saturday.
