NBA Draft 2014: Denver Nuggets Select Doug McDermott with #11 Pick, Traded to Chicago Bulls


UPDATE:

McDermott was traded to the Chicago Bulls on draft night, along with Anthony Randolph for both of Chicago’s first round picks (16th and 19th) along with a future second-round pick.

The show started as expected, with the top three freshmen prospects going 1, 2, 3, as Cleveland chose Andrew Wiggins with the #1 pickMilwaukee selected Jabari Parker #2 and Philadelphia took Joel Embiid with the #3 pick.

Now, with the #11 overall selection in the 2014 NBA Draft, the Denver Nuggets select 2013-14 consensus national player of the year Doug McDermott.

McDermott won all the major awards this past season, including the Wooden, Naismith, APNABC,USBWA and Sporting News awards.
