Atlanta Hawks Summer League: Game 1 Preview vs. Wizards

The Atlanta Hawks open Summer League play in Las Vegas today against the Washington Wizards.

The Hawks’ Summer League roster is headlined by “veterans” John Jenkins, Mike Muscala and Dennis Schroder; each of whom have played Summer League ball for the team last year (last two years in Jenkins’ case).

Draft picks Adreian Payne, Lamar Patterson and Walter Tavares are also on Atlanta’s Summer League roster.

According to Hawks beat writer Chris Vivlamore of the AJC, the team’s starting lineup against the Wizards will be Schroder (PG), Jenkins (SG), Patterson (SF), Payne (PF) and Muscala (C).

Washington’s Summer League roster is headlined by last year’s #3 overall draft pick Otto Porter. He will be starting at SF against the Hawks, while he’s joined by Maalik Wayns (PG), Glen Rice Jr. (SG), Khem Birch (PF) and Daniel Orton (C).

Tip-off is 4:30 p.m. (ET) at the Thomas & Mack Center.
