The round-robin style of NBA Summer League play is over with and now begins the championship round, which is a tournament style with 24 teams fighting to see who comes out on top.
Each of the 24 participating teams has competed in three games since the event tipped off on July 11, with the results of those games determining the 1-24 seedings in the single elimination tournament. Each team will compete in at least two more contests in Las Vegas – a minimum of one game in the single elimination tournament and then either compete in a consolation game or in the next round in the championship bracket.
The Atlanta Hawks earned the 22nd seed after finishing the round-robin stage with a winless record of 0-3. They will face the 11th-seeded Golden State Warriors, who won the inaugural NBA Summer League Championship last year.
The game tips off on Wednesday at 6:00 p.m. (ET) on NBA TV.
The winner between the Hawks and Warriors will move on to play the Portland Trail Blazers on Thursday at 6:00 p.m. (ET), while the loser will play on Friday at 4:30 p.m. (ET) against the loser of the Bucks/Spurs game.
