NBA sharpshooters Kyle Korver and Klay Thompson went 1-on-1 in a three-point contest following a practice session with USA basketball today, the team’s last day of training camp in Las Vegas.
Korver, who plays for the Atlanta Hawks, and Thompson, who plays for the Golden State Warriors, put on a shooting clinic for everyone in attendance (you can even see Kenneth Faried watch in amazement as the two drain shots one after the other — the pair made it look so effortless, Faried started launching shots from the arc).
Evidently the 3-point contest was a catch-and-shoot format with seven stations instead of having five racks of balls spread out across the arc, like during All-Star break.
Korver went on to beat Thompson narrowly by winning four of the seven spots.
