Team USA tipped off play at the 2014 FIBA World Cup in Spain on Saturday against Finland and earned a dominating 114-55 victory, improving to 1-0 in group play.
The game was essentially over at halftime as the Americans limited Finland to just two free throws in the second period and went into the break leading 60-18.
USA Basketball coasted in the second half en route to a 59-point victory.
Klay Thompson led all players with 18 points off the bench and finished the game shooting 7-of-10 from the field.
Fellow backups Derrick Rose (12) and Rudy Gay (10) were also in double-figures.
DeMarcus “Boogie” Cousins nearly posted a double-double but came up one point shy, finishing with nine points and a game-high 10 rebounds.
Anthony Davis was the only starter for Team USA to reach double-digits, dropping 17 points on 6-of-8 shooting.
