VIDEO: Atlanta Hawks Head Coach Mike Budenholzer Accepts ALS Ice Bucket Challenge From Al Horford

Several members of the Atlanta Hawks family have accepted the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge, and next up is head coach Mike Budenholzer.

The challenge, in which a person dumps a bucket of ice water over their head, is to spread awareness of the disease amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), also known as Lou Gehrig’s disease, and encourage donations to research. 

ALS is a disease of the nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord that control voluntary muscle movement.

Coach Bud was nominated by All-Star center Al Horford, who also nominated Paul Millsap and Jeff Teague for the challenge.
