The Atlanta Hawks surprised everyone by playing their regular starters against the Detroit Pistons on Wednesday night. Many expected coach Budenholzer to completely rest some of his men, but although he didn’t take that route, he seemed very conscious of managing minutes.

For example, the starters came out with 7:18 remaining in the final quarter and never returned. The Hawks could have decided to really go out and chase this one late on, but with little to gain from a victory it seems the coaching staff assessed the risk to outweigh the reward.

With the bench getting extended minutes again, there were a number of positives to draw from for Atlanta though.

So, without further ado, we have your Atlanta Hawks grades and reactions from their 10 point loss to the Detroit Pistons.
