What did your favorite former Hawk do last night? Look no further than Ex-Hawk Watch, where all your stat-watching needs are fulfilled.
On any given night, there will be a number of players, formerly of the Atlanta Hawks, that now play for other teams. Keeping up with all of the familiar faces can be a hassle; until now. On November 21st, 2016, six of the thirteen active former Hawks played. Let’s jump right into the Ex-Hawk Watch:
Did Not Play:
Demarre Carroll (TOR; DNP- Rest)
Boris Diaw (UTA plays DEN 11/23/16)
Devin Harris (DAL; Injury- right big toe)
John Jenkins (PHX; coaches’ decision)
Joe Johnson (UTA plays DEN 11/23/16)
Shelvin Mack (UTA plays DEN 11/23/16)
Lou Williams (LAL plays OKC 11/22/16)
Ex-Hawk Watch: November 20th, 2016
Jamal Crawford
12 points, 0 rebounds, 1 assist, 0 steals, 0 blocks in 26 minutes in a 123 -115 win vs Raptors
Jamal Crawford comes off the bench to score 12 points in 26 minutes in the Los Angeles Clippers win over the Toronto Raptors
Al Horford
20 points, 6 rebounds, 5 assists, 1 steal, 3 blocks in 36 minutes in a 99 -93 win at Timberwolves
Against his protege Karl-Anthony Towns, Horford played well in a Celtics win. He helped the team to outscore the young T-Wolves 31-12 in the 4th quarter.
Marvin Williams
0 points, 3 rebounds, 1 assist, 0 steals, 0 blocks in 24 minutes in a 105-90 loss vs Grizzlies
Williams was a no-show versus the Grizziles. He shot 0-6 from the field, including 0-3 from three-point land. His usual point output would have helped the Hornets continue their winning ways.
Zaza Pachulia
6 points, 7 rebounds, 1 assist, 0 steals, 0 blocks in 13 minutes in a 120-83 win at Pacers
Pachulia had to fulfill his nightly role once again: make it out of the game alive. And in doing so, he helped. Salute to him.
Jeff Teague
11 points, 4 rebounds, 3 assists, 2 steals, 2 blocks in 25 minutes in a 120-83 loss vs Warriors
With Paul George and Myles Turner out, Teague was quite over-matched by the Warriors. He attempted to carry the team, but sprained his ankle in process. His availability for his Atlanta return could now be in jeopardy.
Jason Terry
4 points, 2 rebounds, 1 assist, 2 steals, 1 block in 19 minutes in a 93-89 win vs Orlando
With Matthew Delladoova in foul trouble, the vet Terry came in and gave Coach Jason Kidd and the Bucks a well-needed boost.
Best Performance of the Night by a former Hawk
Al Horford
Horford played extremely well against his Dominican Republic National Team teammate Karl-Antohny Towns. He scored 20 points, and showed Celtics fans what they expected. He scored from the outside, and passed the ball well. He grabbed six rebounds, which won’t surprise any Hawk fans. Hopefully, Celtics fans will get both the positives and negatives with Horford as the season goes on.
