Welcome to Atlanta Hawks Headlines. This morning’s batch of articles focus on Atlanta’s loss to the Washington Wizards.

The Atlanta Hawks are going through a bit of a rough patch. I think that’s fair to say. Wednesday was supposed to be the day they turned things around. It wasn’t actually supposed to be that day, the Washington Wizards are too good at basketball, but the optimist that lives inside my soul hoped it would be that day.

Instead the Hawks lost yet another game. It was their fifth loss in as many games. The news just keeps getting better (sarcasm font engage!). Paul Millsap, Atlanta’s best player and all-around great basketball player, missed the game due to left knee soreness. It was his third straight missed game.

Thursday it was reported that Millsap will miss his fourth consecutive game when Atlanta takes on the Milwaukee Bucks on Friday. Things are not looking up in the ATL. That’s okay. At the end of every storm there’s always a beautiful rainbow.

Let’s take a look at today’s links.

Atlanta Hawks: Losing Streak Grows To Five Games

The Atlanta Hawks started well enough against the Washington Wizards. They held a 46-40 lead at half-time and did a great job of slowing down John Wall early in the game. The good times wouldn’t last. Wall scored 22 points in the second half to lead Washington to victory. Turnovers and poor outside shooting eventually did the Hawks in.

Atlanta Hawks: Paul Millsap Out Friday Against Bucks

As I mentioned above, the Hawks will be without Paul Millsap Friday when the Milwaukee Bucks roll into town. It will be Millsap’s fourth straight missed game, which does not bode well for the Hawks. During the 2016-17 season, the Hawks are 0-6 when Millsap doesn’t play. Is a sixth loss in a row inevitable?
