Atlanta Hawks Headlines is back to discuss Dwight Howard‘s solid play, Atlanta’s mounting injuries, and much more.

Atlanta Hawks Headlines remains stuck in the mud. Long losing streaks are not fun. Missing the playoffs isn’t fun either. It’s unlikely, but the Hawks have opened up the possibility that they will miss the postseason. I know, right? Not cool.

Atlanta still hasn’t won a game without Paul Millsap this season. They’re 0-8 without the anchorman anchoring both their defense and their offense. They’ll continue to be without him Tuesday against the Phoenix Suns, Wednesday against the Philadelphia 76ers, and Saturday against the Chicago Bulls. He’ll be reevaluated after those three games, but there’s no guarantee he’ll return immediately.

The waiting is the hardest part. Let’s take a look at what the internet is saying about the Atlanta Hawks.

Atlanta Hawks vs. Phoenix Suns: Matchup to Watch

Our matchup to watch in Atlanta’s Tuesday night meeting with the Phoenix Suns was Devin Booker against Tim Hardaway Jr. Both are dynamic scorers on the wing that leave something to be desired on the defensive end. Booker recently scored 70 points in a loss to the Boston Celtics, while Hardaway is having the best season of his career. Which player came out on top during Tuesday’s game?

Atlanta Hawks Player Appraisal: Thabo Sefolosha

Soaring Down South’s player appraisal series continues with Thabo Sefolosha. Sefolosha is an outstanding wing defender, but has deficiencies on the offensive end of the court. It’s unlikely that the Hawks will keep Sefolosha beyond this season. Taurean Prince and DeAndre’ Bembry will both see their playing time increase next season. With Kent Bazemore already on the roster and Tim Hardaway Jr. likely to return, there won’t be enough minutes to go around.

“Playoff Dwight” Has Arrived Early For The Atlanta Hawks

Jake Martinsek writes on Dwight Howard’s ability to turn up his level of play in the postseason. Martinsek says that “Playoff Dwight” has shown up early this season. Despite Atlanta’s recent swoon, Howard just keeps getting better. If they’re going to pull out of this tailspin anytime soon, they’ll need Howard to continue to produce at a high level.

Atlanta Hawks In Danger Of Missing The Playoffs

Xavier Cooper highlights Atlanta’s recent struggles by showing how dangerously close they are to missing the playoffs. They’re currently just 2.5 games ahead of the Detroit Pistons in the Eastern Conference playoff race. If they lose to the Phoenix Suns on Tuesday night it might finally be time to panic.

Calderon struggling to find shot with Hawks

From The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Chris Vivlamore reports on Jose Calderon‘s missing jump-shot. Since coming to Atlanta, Calderon has shot just 2-for-10 from three-point range. It’s likely just a cold streak, but Calderon could be impacted by Atlanta’s dismal offense. Open shots on the perimeter are few and far between.

From the AP’s report on ESPN.com, Dennis Schroder doesn’t seem too worried about Atlanta’s seven-game losing streak.
