The 2016-2017 Atlanta Hawks had a roller-coaster ride of a season. What role did Ersan Ilyasova play in that?

At the trade deadline this past season, the Atlanta Hawks did not make any flashy moves. But that does not mean that they didn’t make any impactful ones.

The Hawks acquired Ersan Ilyasova from the Philadelphia 76ers in exchange for Tiago Splitter and two second-round picks. Ilyasova gave the Hawks a much-needed third big man and someone that could even step in and start if needed.

Ilyasova, a nine-year NBA veteran, gave the Hawks just what they needed from him down the stretch. He was forced to start several games, because of an injury to Paul Millsap, and gave good minutes off of the bench.

But with his contract up now that the season is over, what does the future hold for the Hawks and Ilyasova?
